The Legacy Collection
Wave 13
Bulid-a-Droid
BG-J38

Accessories
BG-J38 has no accessories.

Look and Feel
In Return of the Jedi you see BG-J38 in Jabba's droid room. He is the one of the droids pushing buttons, but sadly we pretty much only see him from the waist up. This build-a-droid figure does a great job of bringing this character to life. The colors seem to be dead on as well as the sculpt of the figure.

Articulation
Being a build-a-droid, BG-J38's articulation has limitations. He has swivel neck, shoulders, waist, hips, and knees. He also features ball-hinged elbows and ankles.

Overall Reaction
I was ecstatic to get this droid as he shows up in Jabba's palace. Any time we can get just one more character from this part of Return of the Jedi I happy. The problem for some collectors is that they don't collect expanded universe figures and this build-a-driod figure forced collectors either try to collect a very difficult wave of figures to complete the droid or run to Ebay to purchase him. It would have been nice if Hasbro had put this figure in a collection of movie figures, but at least we did get him. If you didn't pick this figure up, I do recommend that you do track him down as he is a great figure to have. Being a droid that does little else then push buttons and move his head he really doesn't need a ton of articulation so I am not disappointed with his lack of articulation. The only issue I have with this figure is the choice of paint used as it did turn my Spacetrooper's right leg a bit yellow.
