General Grievous

Accessories
General Grievous is packaged with battle damaged arms and head, two lightsabers, and removable shoulder armor plates.

Look and Feel
This is one of the most interesting figures I have ever gotten. You get a ton of extras in this pack and really can take Grievous through the process of getting chopped up as he did in the Episode the Lair of Grievous. Included you get a pretty cool replacement head that has been slashed on one side as well as to replacement arms that you can attach to show that Grievous' arms have been cut off. In addition you can remove the armor on his shoulders which is nice but I wish there was a better way to attach them because when you raise his arms they pretty much fall off on their own. If you have ever gotten a Grievous figure before then you know the two lightsabers that comes with this set. Another curious thing about this figure is that he comes with a display stand and yet again, Grievous has no peg holes in his foot. These holes would have been really helpful as I had a rough time getting him to stand with those clawed feet of his. Hasbro did make his ankles ball-hinged, but I really didn't find them too helpful. The look of the figure is very faithful to the way Grievous looks on the TV show in most instances, but it lacks the battle damage or even a warn in body as seen in this episode (extra damaged pieces not withstanding).

Articulation
General Grievous has ball-hinged joints in the neck, shoulders, torso, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles. He also features a swivel joints in the wrists and bottom of the legs.

Overall Reaction
The extras on this figure really give this figure value. I love that I can make it look like Grievous has lost an arm or gotten slashed across the face. It really reminds me of a GI Joe figure with the amount of extras that they get. Grievous does have some issues standing, but with enough patience you can get a pretty decent pose out of him. It appears that they didn't no give him peg holes due to the articulation in the ankles. This area is the thickest part of his foot and would be the only place to put a hole. This Grievous is definitely cool, but if you're a collector who buys the movie accurate figures and occasionally dips into Clone Wars you would be better served picking up the Vintage version. If you're a Clone Wars collector, I think you will enjoy this figure better than previous Clone Wars Grievous figures.
