The Clone Wars
Wave 9
CW47
Firefighter Droid

Accessories
The Firefighter Droid is packaged with a blaster, fire hose, and water backpack.

Look and Feel
The Firefighter Droid appeared in the Malevolence trilogy of Clone Wars. This figure does a great job of showing this character with great paint apps and a very cool accessory. The hose looks very life like as does the nozzle and handle. Sadly it is difficult to get the droid to hold the nozzle correctly due to the lack of articulation in the hands. The details on him are neat as there is a red light painted on the top of the droids head to make him look like a fire truck and number markings on the water backpack. The only difference I can see from the show is that there seemed to be a hose that attached to the backpack from another water source and then a separate hose that attached to the nozzle. This wouldn't make sense for the figure as there would be nothing to attach the second hose to.

Articulation
The Firefighting droid has ball-hinged joints in the neck and shoulders. He also features a swivel or hinge joints in the elbows, torso, and hips. The articulation of this figure is very weak as it makes this figure very difficult to stand up without a display stand. The Firefighter Droid would have definitely benefited from some leg articulation.

Overall Reaction
This is another niche type figure. It is different from most droids you would have with regard to accessories and paint app, but all in all it is the weak design from an articulation stand point that is the downfall of this figure. This is most certainly not a must buy, but an interesting purchase for a different looking battle droid.
