General Grievous and CB-3D
Accessories
General Grievous comes with 4 lightsabers, 1 blaster, and cape.
CB-3D has no accessories.
Both figures are packed with the Dark Trooper's rifle and head.
Look and Feel
I am a huge droid fan so getting another droid always makes me happy. I honestly had no idea who he was, so I did a little research. He was Flynn Kybo's (Jedi padawan) droid during the Clone Wars. The appearance was seen in the General Grievous comic put out by Dark Horse.
When I saw this pack I was pretty jazzed about getting the cool cape that Grievous is packed with. When I got him out of the package... not so much.
Articulation
General Grievous is a repack from the ROTS version. I really wish that Hasbro had picked a better version. This version comes with a rediculous action feature. If you push his head down his arms move (four lightsaber attack action). In addition he sports ball jointed head, shoulders, and knees. There is NO elbow, wrist, or ankle articulation. He does have swivel hips. With all the good sculpts Hasbro had why did they chose this one? The idiot I am paid $17.00 plus tax for him. Damn Dark Trooper!
CB-3D is a typical astromech and has a swivel head which moves his sensor scope up and down (funny how I would rather a vintage version that you pull up and push down instead of this action feature). Again Hasbro has much better versions. I would rather had the retractable third leg version.
Overall Reaction
The Grievous figure was a grievous mistake. Despite the flaw with CB-3D I am happy with him and can wait to put him with the other astromechs I have. Unless the astromech and or the Dark Trooper are must haves for you... I would skip it.
