Look and Feel
I am starting this review off with the caveat that I am an insane fan of the Legacy series. If you haven't had the chance to read them... do so! Since I have this love for the comic my thoughts may be biased.
Darth Krayt - I was so extremely happy when I heard that this figure was being made as he is quite possibly one of the biggest bad asses in the Star Wars Universe. When I got the pack I really had some mixed feelings about this figure however. I really didn't remember his armor being shiny silver. I remember this gritty, battle scared armor that was dull. Other than that, the figure is a very good likeness right down to the tattoos on his chin and pony tail hanging out the back of his helmet. On my figure the shoulder armor pieces fall off from time to time when moving his arms so be careful for that.
Sigel Dare - Finally we get the third important Imperial knight to put with Antares Draco and Ganner Krieg (now all we need is Emperor Roan Fel!). I was so happy to get this figure as I was blown away with how well Hasbro created the first two! The figure is simply awesome except for one part... the head. In the comic Sigel Dare has a very thin face. On this figure it looks like Ms. Dare went to the all you can eat buffet too many times! They did get the rest of her head right includes the dark rings around her eyes and hair braids.
Articulation
Darth Krayt sports ball hinged head, shoulders, elbows, and knees. He also has swivel wrists, waist, and hips. I can understand the non articulation in the torso as that armor is hard to work around, but can you give me some ankle articulation? I really wish Hasbro would make knee and ankle articulation as common as shoulder and elbow articulation.
Sigel Dare sports ball hinged head, shoulders, elbows, ankles and knees. She also has swivel wrists, waist, and hips. It would be nice to get a couple more ball hinged joints on this figure, but for what we get in this comic pack at 12.99... It is the best deal Hasbro offers!
Overall Reaction
Overall I am really happy with this set and to my surprise the Sigel Dare figure is cooler than the Darth Krayt figure. I have since moved here to my Jedi shelf with the rest of the Imperial Knights and I must say these three have me longing for more. I would love and army of these guys and girls! I am happy with Darth Krayt, but down the road I really would like a much grittier version, however I have heard that Hasbro isn't putting dirt on the clones to cut costs so the likelihood is pretty grim.
