R3-A2 has a removable third leg.

Look and Feel
R3-A2 is a very good likeness of the astromech seen rolling around in Echo Base. Hasbro was even careful enough to put some color underneath the dome as seen in the movie. Unlike R3-M3 in the Return of the Jedi wave, this build-a-droid has a much clearer dome. If I had to knit pick this figure the coloring is a bit too red, but over all very solid for a free figure!

Articulation
R3-O1 has swivel joints in the dome, shoulders, and side feet.

Overall Reaction
We have gotten this figure as part as the Hoth Recon Battlepack, but this version is far better looking! If you want the best version of this droid than this is the one to get! The only downside is that you have to get some boring figures other than the Imperial Scanning Crew. The R2-D2, Han Solo, and Chewbacca are all pretty blah figures. This droid did make those figures a much easier purchase for me!
