A Tale of 4 rocket- firing Boba Fetts

So my son asked me recently who was my "Woody" growing up. I couldn't think of any clear toy at first but then I realized...it was definately the classic 3.75" Boba Fett. I loved this figure and played with it for hours until he was burned on a light bulb one day by Luke. Now, I didn't actually think he would melt when I did this so you could imagine my suprise when I saw him! Later that day my mom came home with a 12" Boba Fett so all turned out well in the end. And, a new 3.75" Fett arrived in the mail in no time so all was well with the world.

Flash forward way too many years to today... There's been a lot of talk about the condition of vintage rocket-firing Boba Fetts. Clearly there is an issue with shipping as it appears most get damaged in transit from Hasbro to us. Here's the story of my 4 Fetts...

This is the condition of the cases when they arrived. As you can see, they got to my home in varied condition (worse to better from left to right).

The Fetts inside were in similar shape as the condition of their boxes (duh!)

With all the talk about damaged Fetts I would have to say that overall I am very pleased with my four. One is for my son, one for me to open, one for me to keep carded, and one extra just in case. For the people having trouble getting semi-mint ones, I would say try ordering one every month or so until the offer runs out. I think Hasbro will eventually start using a little sturdier packaging. Also, I believe this is NOT Hasbro's fault. They tried to offer a great classic carded figure to fans and the post office does not handle these boxes carefully. Mine were crushed in the mailbox! As your Fetts arrive I wish you good luck. And, MTFBWY!
