The Sandtrooper is packaged with his backpack, heavy blaster rifle, and a smaller blaster rifle.

Look and Feel
This is without a doubt the best Sandtrooper ever put out. Of course like almost every figure, it is not perfect. There is not a speck of sand, dirt, grime, anywhere on this guy. The reason is that Hasbro says that it is expensive to add dirt to the figures. I also noticed that it seems like the eye area of the helmet seem to be very narrow. I did do a search for images of Sandtroopers and the eyes on the helmets do vary from trooper to trooper. As stated in the review of the Dewback exlcusive from Walmart, I was very excited to see that blaster rifle that pops up in the movie and it is packed with this Sandtrooper as well. Sadly, they have not improved the plastic used to ensure the barrel doesn't bend. In addition, you get heavy blaster rifle with strap to arm your trooper to the teeth.

Articulation
The Sandtroooper features ball-hinged neck, shoulders, elbows, torso, hips, knees, and ankles. The only swivel joint on this figure is in his wrists.

Overall Reaction
I hate to jump on the soap box again about paint apps, but come on Hasbro! They didn't need to pay for any sculpting or tooling on this figure. This is a repack with a heavy blaster added in. Not only that, but we are paying a full dollar more to buy this "Greatest Hits" figure. In my opinion this figure should have been in the Saga Legends line, but it is here because fans have called for a Sandtrooper on a vintage card. I suspect we shall see this figure repainted down the road with dirty look. Having gotten my frustrations out, I would buy this figure again and again. I currently have purchased two of these guys and if a sale hits I might even grab more, which really makes me feel like I have a problem as I got about 15 to 20 Santroopers last year in those BOGO packs. My advice to all you is to buy this figure! I don't care if you have all those old Sandtroopers or if you bought the Dewback. You can never have enough Sandtroopers and this is the best version ever made. Just make sure to get some black, brown and tan paint and you can dirty this guy up yourself!
