Look and Feel
Darth Maul - When I first hear about this story I hoped for a figure down the road and now we have one. The figure is a great likeness of the depiction in the comic right down to the longer horns on his head. The detail in the robotic legs is fantastic and I love the matching lightsaber hilt. He stands well even though he has Grievous like feet. He also holds his lightsaber very well and at time I have pulled his left hand out of its socket when getting him to hold his saber with two hands.
Owen Lars - We have not gotten a new Owen Lars figure since the POTF2 days and even had to grin and bare a re-release of him with the Lars homestead. This figure does a lot for making up for all those years as he looks great although the time period isn't ANH so he does look a bit younger, but still passable for a diorama. His cloak fits very well and figure looks good even without it. Lars does hold his blaster solidly, but in my universe Owen is just a farmer and doesn't really need one. His head sculpt is very solid and looks like the character a lot.
Articulation
Darth Maul sports ball hinged just about everywhere! He has them in the head, shoulders, torso, elbows, knees, and ankles. I do wish that he had a double ball hinged knee to make him stand that much taller.
Owen Lars sports ball hinged head, shoulders, elbows, and knees. He also has swivel wrists, hips, and waist.
Overall Reaction
I was very pleased with this pack and if I had been a carded collector this packaging is second to none. The figures look fantastic and my only gripes are that Maul doesn't have a double jointed knee and Lars doesn't have ball hinged ankles. All in all this an outstanding figure and in my opinion a must buy.
