The Legacy Collection
Disney Star Wars Weekends
Jedi Training Academy
Accessories
Each figure comes with a lightsaber. Red for Vader, Green for the Jedi Master, and two purple/blue (yes I am color blind) and one green small lightsabers for the Padawans.
Look and Feel
I posted above a photo I took at the Jedi Training Academy and tried to somewhat recreate it with the figures. I have to say they match up pretty well. The biggest Padawan features a removable robe that looks very much like the ones passed out at the show. The other two Padawans have plastic molded robes, but they look good. These figures will look great with the rest of my Younglings. I like the Jedi Master a lot and will look good as a background Jedi. Then there is Vader... Ummmm how many times are we going to get the same Vader! I realize they can't do a whole lot with him, but hey throw a hidden Mickey on him or something.
Articulation
Vader - Ball-hinged shoulders, head, and knees. Swivel elbows, wrists, waist and hips. Pretty much the standard Vader we have gotten the past several years.
Jedi Master - Ball-hinged shoulders and knees. Swivel head, elbows, wrists, waist and hips. With all the Jedi bodies Hasbro creates I would have like to see much more articulation in this figure.
Older Boy Padawan -
No ball-hinges anywhere. He does come with swivel head, shoulder, wrists, hips, and waist. His knees are hinged so that he can sit.
Younger Boy Padawan - Very little articulation! He has swivel head, shoulders and waist.
Girl Padawan - Very little articulation! He has swivel head, shoulders and waist.
Overall Reaction
This set is very expensive as it is a Disney item. The 5 figures retails at $40.00. That is $8.00 a figure with less articulation and only a lightsaber as an extra. It is great for dioramas though as you get three Younglings and an extra nondescript Jedi.
